Elsa's Bunny Litter

Everyone is now at their Forever home and doing Wonderful!

"Thumper" is now Hua Hua his family reports that he is doing great.

    7 Week Update

Babs, Honey Bunny, Cadbury, Lola, Thumper, & Bugs

These sweet Bunnies had a very eventful week this week! We had many more new experiences, socialized alot, took some car rides, and everyone is in their individual crate now! Today after playtime outside it was so impressive to watch Cadbury and Lola climb into their crates on their own and curl up for a nap. The rest followed shortly after with a little encouragement. The puppies met the trainer today and everyone had a temperament assessment. Everyone had a great report, all were relaxed when handled and nobody got anxious when they heard loud sounds. (Things we really work on here and we were happy to see that all our handling and cuddles as well as sound desensitizing has done its job.) The pups continue to take  lots of trips outside to go potty, we have a few accidents here or there but were confident that these babies will go home with a great head start towards potty training. Were in the final stretch, Elsas puppies will go to their furever homes in just 6 days now, they will go for their vet check and get their first set of shots tomorrow. If theres anything important to note we will update our families, all in all everyone is healthy, and happy. We are sure going to miss this sweet bunch. Here they are with their temperament test results as well a few things we've noticed over the last 7 weeks.

    The Sweet Girls

    Babs

Babs has been such a sweet fun girl, she loves kids and is super smart and curious. Shes very playful and can be a bit of a goofball, Shes got that happy go lucky vibe about her.

During temperament testing she was the most confident. Babs scored a bit mixed with a few 2's 3's and 4's

Babs is such a smart cookie, she will thrive with some training and should pick up on things quickly.

Babs as of today weighs 7lbs 11oz

    Lola

Sweet Lola is such a special girl. She is the most reserved in the group and a little shy at first meeting someone or upon being faced with a new experience. She absolutely adores children and once she warms up to someone its as if all her worries are gone and she just melts into you. She truly is just the sweetest girl. Lola scored mostly 4's and 5's

Lola would do fine in a home with another dog provided the dog is more on the calm side.

Lola is still the biggest in the group and today she weighed 9lbs 14oz

Lola has a super soft fluffy coat.

    Honey Bunny

Honey Bunny is such a fun and spunky girl! She has great energy and will do well with lots of exercise. She loves to tromp around outside and is super playful! Honey Bunny scored mostly 3's and 4's with a few 2's

Honey, is a confident and happy girl. Honey is still one of the smaller pups and will probably be medium.

Today Honey Bunny weighed 8lbs 7oz

    The Handsome Boys

    Thumper

Thumper is such a cutie, its always so hard to capture his eyes in photos because he has such a nice thick fluffy coat it sometimes covers his eyes. Hes really just a sweet teddy bear. Thumper is a curious little guy he loves being outside and exploring. Thumper scored a mix of 3's 4's and 5's

and today he weighed 9lbs 12oz just a bit smaller than his sister Lola, he will probably also be a standard.

    Bugs

Bugs is such a cutie he stands out from the rest because he has the cutest little curls. Bugs is also a super smart boy! He has amazing eye contact... Something that we started to notice very early on. His siblings would be jumping around and he would just quietly and calmly sit and watch us, all while making perfect eye contact. Hes also been super easy to photograph, we set him up and he stays! (It may not sound like a big deal but photographing puppies can be quite the task!) With his littermates bugs is the leader of the pack. Since Bugs tends to be a leader among other dogs he will probably not do well in a home with another dominant dog. Bugs will do really well with training and will pickup quickly on commands. Bugs scored mostly 3's and 4's

Bugs will most likely have a curly/wavey coat.

     Today he weighed 8lbs 15oz.

    Cadbury

Oh What to say about Cadbury... this little guy is not just looks, hes got the personality too! Cadbury is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings but also absolutely adores our children. Cadbury will happily follow our 4 year old all around the property, tail up and wagging as he trots after her. He does great with his baths and is just a super easy going laid back, fun boy.

Cadbury scored  3's and 4's and should be easy to train.

    Today Cadbury weighed 8lbs 10oz

    6 Week Update

    Lola,Cadbury,Babs,Bugs,Honey,&Thumper

Oh the cuteness! Elsa's Babies are 6 weeks old today and we are so impressed with their temperaments and their progress! Everyone enjoys chow time, they play well with eachother and happily greet humans that come to say hello. They are all so well adjusted everyone loves bathtime, they are learning to sit still while being brushed, dried and having their nails clipped (an important skill to learn as they will all have those beautiful coats we love and will need to be comfortable being groomed) Cadbury is especially impressive as he sits nicely and hands us his paw while we trim his nails. Hes such a little gentleman! They all love kids and relax quickly while being held. We continue to work on crate training, next week will  be the hard part as they will each go in their own crates alone, they will learn to rest and entertain and comfort themselves while by themselves in their crate (another very important skill) it will help prepare them for when they leave their pack and go to their furever homes. Here are the weights as of yesterday:

    Honey Bunny - 6lbs 10oz

    Babs - 6lbs 12oz

    Lola - 7lbs 14oz

    Cadbury - 6lbs 3oz

    Bugs - 6lbs 14oz

    Thumper 7lbs-14oz

**Cadbury is the smallest, and Lola is the biggest. Sweet Lola will probably grow to be a standard size.

We are so proud of this sweet group. Next week we will have them temperament tested and we will report on that at the 7 week Update.

      5 Week Update

Elsa's pups are 5 weeks old! This week went by so fast, lots of playtime and socialization. They are weaning more and more from Mama, lots of potty breaks outside, we spend alot of time making sure they understand that we always potty outside. At this stage they still need lots of rest, they will play hard for about 30 mins and then they are ready for a nice snooze. At this age we still leave the door opened but just about all of them want to snuggle up inside the crate, Its a safe cozy spot for them. A few things becoming more apparent as they get a little older, Honey Bunny is the little one in the group. Bugs who is one of the larger ones has a much wavier coat then his siblings. Thumper has a nice solid coat that has faded a bit since he was first born, he will most likely be apricot. Lola girl has been a little bit more shy than her siblings, but has really come out of her shell this week. Heres a few candid photos from the week, along with their individual photos.

          4 Week Update

Honey Bunny, Lola, Bugs, Cadbury, Babs, and Thumper.

The Sweet Bunny Litter is 4 weeks old today. We had a busy week here, the pups were excited to go outside for the first time, and boy do they already love to explore! They are all relaxed and enjoy people time, but are still very focused on Mama Elsa. We have started them on puppy mush, but Mama is still in their pen regularly to nurse and stays nearby. Once they are weaned they begin bonding to humans, a natural transition. We continue sound desensitizing and lots of socialization. We are introducing them to new experiences daily.  They will be introduced to a crate this week with the gate open (non threatening) and eventually we will work on individual crate training. Everyone is thriving and doing fantastic, it only gets more fun from here on out!

            3 Week Update

Babs, Thumper, Bugs, Honey Bunny, Cadbury, and Lola

Elsa's sweet bunnies are 3 weeks old today, so much growth and development happened this week. All eyes are opened and they can now hear! They have completed the Bio-Sensor program and we are seeing calm relaxed pups when we pick them up. Now that they can hear we have started sound desensitizing.  All are fairly close in size for now, with Honey Bunny being a little smaller and Bugs being the biggest. Its so much fun as they start to notice one another in their pen and start to play with each other!

              2 Week Update

Bugs, Lola, Thumper, Babs, Cadbury, Honey Bunny

The Sweet Bunnies are 2 weeks today and are doing amazing! It was a pretty uneventful week (which is good at this stage)  Lots of sleeping and eating. Were starting to see them scoot about the pin as their legs get stronger and they prepare to start walking. Lola girl may be the youngest but she was the first to open her eyes! By the end of this week we should have just about everyones eyes opened. Hearing will come at around 3 weeks.

              1 Week Update

Lola, Bugs, Babs, Cadbury, Honey Bunny, and Thumper

These little loveys are 1 week old today!  Mama is so attentive, cleaning them and keeping them very well fed. All have just about doubled their weight since birth which is exactly what we wanna see, mama is doing a wonderful job! We started with the Bio-Sensor program at day 3 and will continue that until they are 16 days old. Noses and foot pads are starting to darken. Their Eyes and ears are still closed but we will be watching closely as we expect eyes to open a little later in the week. These little cuties will go home just before Easter so here they are Our Sweet Little Bunnies!

              The Sweet Girls

              Babs

Babs was born 4th and has the pink Collar. Weights can change so much in the early weeks but so far Babs is the smallest. She has some beautiful white markings that may or may not stand out as her coat lightens or darkens.

              Lola

Lola girl was the last to be born, she has the lavendar collar, and is an absolute sweetheart. Her coat is darker than her sister Babs but slightly lighter than Honey Bunny excited to see how her coat changes as the weeks progress.

              Honey Bunny

Honey Bunny was the 3rd born and has the yellow collar. She has a few small white markings and we think she will  turn out to be a beautful Red.

              Handsome Baby Boys

              Bugs

Bugs has the green collar and will most likely have a lighter coat as he grows up. Sizes become more apparent as the puppies get a little older but so far Bugs is one of the bigger boys. Bugs was the 2nd born in the litter and came at exactly 2:22 PM! Pretty neat considering his birthday is 2/20/2022

              Cadbury

This little boy was the firstborn of the litter and boy were we suprised when we saw his beautiful coloring! Cadbury has the Blue Collar.

              Thumper

Thumper is such a sweet little boy, he has the Orange Collar. Thumper was born 5th and has so far been super easy going. Coat colors can change in the first few weeks but so far this little guy looks like he will be a solid red.

We had a pretty uneventful labor with our mama giving birth to 6 beautiful pups. So far all the babies are latching well and all appear to be strong and healthy. We will post individual photos as well as our litter theme at the 1 week update.
