7 Weeks

Seven weeks already! We had such a wonderful time meeting some of the amazing families who will be welcoming these babies home. It’s always so special to watch the puppies interact with their people and see just how much their little personalities have developed.

Mama Winnie has done an absolutely wonderful job! She has just about completely weaned the puppies now. With the exception of a few very short little “snacks,” their primary source of nutrition is now kibble. It’s definitely bittersweet watching them become so independent, but Winnie has been an incredible mama and has raised some very happy, confident babies.

We can’t believe we’re already in the final stretch! The next week will be filled with lots of learning, play, cuddles, and continuing all the little routines that will help make their transition home as smooth as possible.

These babies are growing up way too fast!

We met with our trainer this afternoon and everyone did wonderful on their temperament testing. Before I get into their individual personality and temperament assessments- This whole litter is incredibly smart. All 6 of them take after their mama, the whole bunch is just so loving and sweet, each incredibly special in their own way but also a lot of similarities!

Here they are at 7 weeks!

Our adorable little chunk, Eeyore is laid-back and cuddly, he is exactly what you would imagine for a dog named Eeyore, so content just chilling out in your arms- Eeyore will make the perfect best friend for someone looking for an adorable lower energy sweetheart. He also has an especially fluffy coat that makes him even more irresistible. Eeyore scored mostly 3’s and 4’s on his temperament testing Eeyore is a sweet chill boy, he’s the largest in the litter and will likely be around 25lbs.

A bouncy, joyful goofball! Tigger is playful, silly, and incredibly loving. He keeps everyone entertained and is always ready for the next adventure. He scored all 3’s and 4’s with a 5 on restraint (he didn’t struggle when put on his back) he is a great combination of playful/silly but happy to melt into your arms for a good snuggle time. Tigger is a highly adaptable boy and will match whatever energy you give him. Like his brother, Tiggers estimated adult weight is about 25lbs

Spunky, confident, smart… im pretty sure she’s the boss. Roo has no problem making sure everyone knows who is in charge, and she can frequently be found pinning one of her brothers during playtime. She’s got a big personality packed into that little body! Roo scored all 3’s and 4’s on her temperment testing. Roo will likely be around 15-20lbs

Our gentle, sweet little lover. Piglet has a softer personality and absolutely loves affection. She’s happiest when she’s close to her people and soaking up some love. Piglet scored mostly 3’s and 4’s on her temperament testing. She is the smallest in the bunch and will likely be around 15lbs grown.

Sweet, and playful, Kanga is a really fun girl to watch because while she is spunky and playful (she’s a favorite wrestling partner of “the boss” (sister Roo) she is happy to concede in the wrestling match in exchange for a snuggly lap. Our trainer noted that Kanga seemed very adaptable, and she will likely do well with other dogs, or different types of pets. She scored mostly 4’s on her temperament testing (but also a couple 3’s, a couple 2’s and a couple 5’s). Kanga will likely be about 20lbs

Our cheerful little sweetheart! Affectionate, and exceptionally bright and outgoing, with her eager to please personality, Rabbit should train easily, and adapt well to most living situations. This little girl seems like she is just always looking to make you smile. Rabbit has such a naturally happy, personality, she scored mostly 3’s and 4’s on her temperament testing and would make a wonderful fit for anyone looking for an affectionate loving shining star! She will likely be about 20-25lbs

6 Weeks

Winnie’s pups are SIX weeks old already! I’ll keep this week’s pupdate short because tomorrow is a BIG day — Puppy Visit Day! But today was a very busy one for our little crew.

The pups had their trip to the vet and bath day all in one day, which makes for a very long day for these babies (and for us!). Everyone did absolutely amazing! They slept peacefully in the car both ways, were wonderful for their exams, and did great getting their first set of vaccines.

We’ve also started the next step in their crate training — spending time in their crates with the doors closed. It can be a little bit of an adjustment! Kanga was definitely not a fan of the new setup and made sure we knew it , while others, like sweet Eeyore, were completely unfazed and settled right in for a cozy nap...and then there’s our sweet Rabbit… She is such a little lovebug and gave me kisses the entire time I was blow-drying her coat. I mean, how am I supposed to get anything done with that kind of sweetness?!

Overall, this group is doing absolutely wonderful, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. They are growing, learning, and becoming more independent every day, and somehow, we’re already at SIX WEEKS!

We are SO excited to host our Puppy Visit Day tomorrow! We can’t wait to see the excitement on everyone’s faces and finally meet so many of the wonderful families waiting to welcome these babies home.

5 Weeks

What an exciting week it's been for the Hundred Acre Woods crew!
This week brought some big milestones as the puppies enjoyed their first adventure outdoors!

They loved exploring the new sights, sounds, and smells, taking everything in with curious little noses and wagging tails. They also had their first taste of puppy mush, and it was a huge success! While they're still very attached to Mama and love nursing, they're beginning the gradual weaning process. Mama is enjoying a few well-deserved breaks while the puppies continue learning that mealtime comes in more than one form. Their personalities are becoming more apparent with each passing day. Tigger is exactly what you'd expect—happy, confident, and full of joyful energy.

His tail is almost always wagging, and he approaches everything with enthusiasm.
Piglet, Rabbit, and Eeyore have been especially thoughtful and observant this week. They've been quick to catch on to a new skill we're introducing called manding—learning to sit politely instead of jumping up when they want to be picked up. It's an early lesson in patience and communication, and they've impressed us with how quickly they're beginning to understand it.
Every week these little ones become more interactive, more curious, and more fun to watch. We can't wait to see what next week brings as they continue growing into confident, well-mannered companions.

4 Weeks

Winnie’s puppies are officially 4 weeks old! They are becoming more active every day, starting to play with one another, and showing much more interest in interacting with people. While they still adore spending time with Winnie, they're beginning to enjoy their human friends too!

Their coats are continuing to thicken, and you'll notice their noses and paw pads are getting darker as they mature. Kanga is looking like she may have a slightly wavier, curlier coat than her littermates—it's always fun watching each puppy's unique features begin to shine through!

This week we've continued daily sound desensitization, socialization, and introducing new experiences to help build confident, resilient puppies. One exciting milestone is their introduction to the crate! Right now it's simply a safe, positive place to explore with the door left open. Over the coming weeks, we'll gradually transition to short individual crate sessions away from their littermates. It can be a big adjustment at first, but it's an important step in preparing them for their future families.

Over the next few weeks we'll really start to see each puppy's personality blossom, and we can't wait to watch them grow into the amazing companions they're meant to be.

3 Weeks

Winnie's Hundred Acre Woods litter is officially 3 weeks old, and they are doing fabulous! As you can see from the pictures, everyone's eyes are now fully open! While their vision will continue to develop over the next five weeks, they are already beginning to explore their world and interact much more with one another. They are getting so much stronger, and have begun to find their legs, getting up on all 4s and starting to take their very first steps. The puppies are wonderfully calm and relaxed when being handled, which is exactly what we hope to see after completing their Early Neurological Stimulation (Bio Sensor) program. It's so rewarding to watch their confidence continue to grow.

Another exciting milestone this week— the puppies can hear!!!

Now that their hearing has developed, we've begun sound desensitization. Our goal is to help each puppy develop a healthy, confident emotional response to everyday noises. During this important developmental window—before the natural fear period begins—we also work on building startle recovery. Each day the puppies are gently introduced to a different unexpected sound, such as pots clanging, fireworks, a crying baby, or a blow dryer.

Research has shown that puppies who learn to recover from unexpected stimuli during weeks 3 and 4 are often better equipped to handle surprising situations later in life. Our focus isn't to prevent the startle (that's completely normal) but to help them quickly recover and realize that new experiences don't have to be scary.

We're having so much fun with this sweet little crew and can't wait to watch them continue to grow, learn, and become even more adventurous in the weeks ahead!

2 Weeks

Another wonderful week with Winnie's Hundred Acre Woods Crew!

We are completely smitten with this sweet little bunch. Winnie continues to be an exceptional mama, keeping her babies well-fed, warm, and perfectly cared for.

This weekend, we'll complete our daily Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) program. These gentle exercises are designed to give puppies the best possible start in life and are associated with lifelong benefits, including:

Stronger heartbeats and improved cardiovascular performance
Stronger adrenal gland function and increased resistance to disease
Greater tolerance to environmental stress
Enhanced confidence, problem-solving skills, and curiosity

The biggest milestone this week... their eyes are beginning to open!

Winnie’s little crew is getting their very first glimpse of the world. While their vision will continue to develop over the coming weeks, it's such a special milestone to witness. Their hearing hasn't arrived just yet, but those tiny ears will be opening very soon, and we'll have an even more interactive bunch before we know it!

1 Week

Introducing boys Tigger an Eeyore, and girls Piglet, Kanga, Roo, and Rabbit! The little loveys are 1 week old today. Mama is so attentive, cleaning them and keeping them very well fed she is doing a wonderful job! We started with the Bio-Sensor program at day 3 and will continue that until they are 16 days old. Noses and foot pads are starting to darken. Their Eyes and ears are still closed but we will be watching closely as we expect eyes to open in the next week or so.
