Foxys ninja turtles are 5 weeks old!!!
So many exciting things happened this week. The group is now taking daily trips outside, and has started eating puppy mush.
We’ve also added 2 crates to their puppy pen, we leave the door open for now, the idea is to get them used to the crate, and have them associate it with a happy positive space that they can call their own. It’s so cute to see all 8 of them cuddle up in 1 leaving the 2nd crate completely empty as if it’s not even there. They love snuggling up close to eachother. Personalities have really started to show.
Sweet Leonardo, Michelangelo, and April are gentle little cuddle bugs. Raphael, Casey, Donatello and Venus are very social, and Little Master Splinter could not have been more appropriately named. He has this gentle calmness to him, during group photo time earlier in the week, he sat patiently, perfectly posed waiting for the rest of the group to get it together. 😂
Donatello is definitely going to be a lot of fun for his family, as he has already started to show a lot of goof ball tendencies. We had so much fun this week with the group! This coming week we will continue to take the pups outside regularly for play and potty time, and we will begin to introduce short nap times 2 to a crate with the door closed. Eventually working them up to being comfortable and cozy inside the crate for nap time all on their own! We will be having our puppy visit day next Saturday. We are so excited for our families to finally meet this amazing bunch!
It is hard to believe that Foxy's puppies are 4 weeks old and already halfway through their time with us. They are growing fast! The puppies are now playing for short times in between naps and eating. They are walking (a little wobbly still), wagging their tails, and mimicking the sounds they hear. We even hear some barking sounds as they play with each other. The little guys Splinter, Raphael, and Casey are especially vocal. Not only are they playing with their litter mates, but they are beginning to play with toys. They will have their first adventure outside later this week and begin on puppy mush. Now is about the time that their little personalities will really start to show. As part of our puppy socialization, we are continuing to expose them to as many new objects and experiences by introducing at least one new object or tactile item in their puppy pen each day. This will help enrich their world with new experiences, textures, smells, sights, and sounds. This group seems to get cuter every week. Its confirmed that both Donatello and Venus will have brown noses, the rest will be black. Here they are at 4 weeks, the cutest little Ninja Turtles around!
* For those on our reservation list, be sure to check your email for a few reminders about upcoming dates, a few things to note, and important information on our upcoming puppy visit which is in just 2 weeks!
Foxy’s puppies are 3 weeks old and everyone's eyes are opened! These guys are just the cutest sweetest bunch. Sweet Foxy Mama continues to do a wonderful job keeping everyone clean and well fed. The puppies can now regulate their body temperature and are beginning to find their voices. We love to hear their little noises! They are getting up on their feet but still quite wobbly. They are aware of and interact with their littermates and mama. They are beginning to play with their littermates and learning about their environment. Another huge milestone, the puppies can now hear!
We will be introducing sounds and objects this week. Exposing the puppies to all kinds of sounds: lawnmowers, blow dryers, crying babies, fireworks, etc. This process helps them learn that new things aren’t bad or something that should make them fearful. The pictures speak for themselves, these babies are so precious, here they are at 3 weeks Foxy’s Ninja Turtles!
Foxy’s Ninja Turtles are 2 weeks old! Mama and babies are doing wonderful.
A couple big milestones that should happen this week; we should start to see their eyes begin to open, and, they are now beginning to get up on their feet as they prepare to walk!
We noticed today on April O’Neal that we can see just the slightest little peek of an eye beginning to open! By the end of this week we should see just about everyone’s eyes opened.
The pups are moving much more now too! Sweet little Casey Jones got up on all 4’s yesterday and moved himself from where the group was sleeping to a separate area to go potty.
It’s super early, but this is the very beginning of potty training for the pups. Puppies instinctively want to keep their sleeping area clean so as they begin to walk they begin to instinctively move away from their sleep area to relieve themselves. This week we will be adding a potty area to their whelping pin, to help them establish a proper area for going potty.
When we pair Foxy with Leo they have a chance at having pups with black or brown pigmentation (black noses and footpads or brown noses and footpads).
It’s still a bit early, but, It’s looking like both Venus and Donatello will have Brown pigmentation. The rest are looking like black.
We will be wrapping up ENS at the beginning of the week. We continue to weigh each pup daily, not much of a change to report there. Master Splinter and Raphael are probably going to stay the little guys in the group. Here the cuties are at 2 weeks, Foxy’s Ninja Turtles!
Cowabunga!!!
We’ve wanted to do this one for a while but have never had enough boys to do it, so, naturally when Foxy delivered 2 girls and 6 boys we knew what the theme had to be.
Not too much to report for the group this week. They are doing exactly what they are supposed to (eating and sleeping).
We have started ENS and are weighing the pups daily.
April and Venus, the two girls are also the two largest in the group. As of now Master Splinter is the smallest. Such beautiful colors we are so excited to watch this group as they grow!
We are so proud of Foxy Mama, she is doing a wonderful job caring for her new pups!
...Here they are, Foxy's Ninja Turtle Litter!
Foxys pups have arrived! Late friday evening Foxy gave birth to 8 beautfiul pups. We started with 1 girl and then 6 boys came all in a row! The last pup to complete this crew was another girl. Mama and babies are doing wonderful. We will post our litter theme and officially introduce each pup at our 1 week pupdate!
