This week has been a great week. All 6 of these babies will be leaving us next Saturday and I can honestly say we are really going to miss this group. We are over the moon with how sweet, gentle, and affectionate this whole bunch is. They are so much like their sweet mama Foxy.
Mama Foxy did an absolutely outstanding job with her first litter and we are so proud of what a great loving and nurturing mother she was to her babies. Every one of them is a happy, sweet, gentle little pup and they all love to be snuggled. They are doing really well with potty training and are doing great during their nap times in their kennels.
Before we get into our individual temperament scores and assessments I think its important to say that no matter which pup you choose, its a really great idea that you get your puppy into training classes. Find a good trainer in your area and sign them up. It will make such a difference and its so important to instill great behavior early.
Everyone did wonderful on their temperament testing, mostly 3's 4's and 5's we did see a couple 6's (more on that below).
Just a little insight into the scores were not looking at 1 individual number but the average or majority that a puppy scores meaning
A pup that scores mostly 4’s should be easy to train and is probably a bit more laid back.
A pup with mostly 5’s might be a bit more shy and need a little help building confidence in new situations.
A pup with mostly 3’s is a pup with a bit more energy, might be curious will do well with training and learns quickly.
and A pup with mostly 2’s is a leader, very confident usually very bright and thrives in an environment with lots of exercise and training. I wanted to get these individual assessments up for you all because we have our final puppy selections today but I do plan to get a group photo up this weekend. I promise! Here they are at 7 weeks, Foxys Box Of Chocolates.
Normandie weighed 5lbs 9 oz today and will probably grow to be about 35lbs
Normandie scored mostly 3’s and 4’s
Norman, as we have started to call him is the biggest in the group. He is probably the most chill and relaxed of the bunch he’s an easy going go with the flow kinda guy. Norman should adapt really well to just about any lifestyle

Bordeaux is a sweet and gentle little girl. She has great eye contact and prefers cuddles and being held to playing. Bordeaux is calm, quiet, and easygoing. As far as the 6’s she scored…
The retrieving test is scored from 1-6 the trainer crumbles up a wad of newspaper and tosses it for puppy. A 6 is marked if the puppy does not chase object at all.
For sound sensitivity the trainer makes a loud sharp sound such as clanking a metal can. A 6 is scored when the pup ignored sound and showed no curiosity.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, a 1 would be scored if the pup located and then ran to the sound barking.
Speaking with our trainer we both agree, Bordeaux reactions to these 2 tests are not concerning. She is just really a go with the flow kinda girl, not much bothers her.
I know we’re a day late on this, thank you to our puppy families for understanding, we’ve had a busy couple days here.
Foxy’s babies are 6 weeks old!
Time is flying by with this bunch. I’ve said it before, but I really love how happy this little group is! I don’t envy anyone that would have to choose because each one is just the cutest and they are all so darn sweet.
We had the most amazing Saturday meeting families. It was so wonderful meeting each and every one of you. I feel so confident that we have the most wonderful families for these pups and that is the absolute best feeling!
The pups are enjoying their outside time more and more. We introduced a kennel last week and just about everyone piled into it and snuggled up for their nap times (door opened) this week we plan to add a couple more kennels and start to get them acclimated to having short nap times 2 to a kennel. The end goal would be at 8 weeks to have everyone in their own kennel feeling comfortable and relaxed for quiet time.
We have a busy week coming up, all the pups will meet with our vet for their checkup, shots, and deworming. We’ll let you know at our 7 week pupdate if there is anything to report from our vet.
Next week is the big one… The pups will be meeting with our trainer and then well be posting temperament scores, weights, a little more about each pup and then I’ll be making my rounds to find out puppy selections!
Here the cuties are at 6 weeks 🙂
I can’t believe Foxy’s pups are already 5 weeks old! The cuteness in this group is just too much, I literally want to keep each and every one of these guys.
They have had a very busy week here and as you can see from the photos are now making trips to the great outdoors!
Early this week the pups had their first visit outside. They loved exploring all the new sights, sounds, and smells the outside has to offer. Spunky little Butterchew trotted around with confidence, tail wagging. While Bordeaux who’s a little more reserved preferred to sit and observe for a bit while the rest explored. They are beginning to wean from their mama now and have started on kibble.
When we come into the room each and every one of them looks at us tails wagging, as if to say pick me up! They are such a cheerful happy bunch.
This week we will expand their pen a bit and introduce them to a kennel door stays open non threatening. We will gradually transition them until in the final week we will have them all comfortable for short naps in their own kennel. Next week is puppy visit day where the pups and us will be so excited to meet those families on our list. Every time we get down to take their photo they want to run and pounce at us which is super cute but makes photo time a bit harder 😝
Here they are, Foxy’s Box of Chocolates!!
Foxy’s Box of Chocolates are 4 weeks old today!
They are becoming so much more active, playing and wresting with each other and interacting more with us too.
Everyone is hearing and we have begun sound desensitization.
We can already see that this bunch is full of personality!
This week will be a fun one, they will start on kibble and have their first visit outside!
They have had very limited contact with our paw patrol litter that is just 2 weeks ahead of them, but once they begin outside time we will start to let them meet and play with them, their Aunts and Uncles which is sure to be a great time.
Here they are, looking cuter than ever! Foxy’s Box of Chocolates!
***We sent an email out at the beginning of the week to those on our reservation list regarding Truffles, it is with great sadness that we had to break it to our families that after fighting really hard, the infection was just too much for her and we lost her. We will always remember sweet Truffles.
Foxy’s pups are 3 weeks old and we have eyes opened!
They completed their bio-sensor training and are being held and massaged daily. Mama continues to do a fantastic job caring for them. We’re starting to see them move a bit more as they begin to crawl about their pin. Lots of eating and sleeping still, we expect them to begin to hear early on this week. That is when we will start our sound desensitization. As you can see from the photos, Butterchew and Bonbon look like they will have the cutest little brown noses and footpads. The rest will have black.
Foxy’s Box Of Chocolates!
**A quick update on truffles, shes had a difficult time gaining weight, she is under veterinary care, we have decided to pull her from the pupdate until we are comfortable with her health status.
Fox’s Box of chocolates are 2 weeks old today.
We have lots of eating and sleeping, and that is exactly what we want to see at this age.
We continue to weigh the pups daily and have noticed that Truffles is not gaining quite as fast as the others.
It’s likely that Truffles will just be the small one in the group, but were keeping a close eye on her at this point.
She is eating well and we are making sure she is getting some extra feeding sessions in.
The pups have continued their bio sensor training and will complete that early this week.
Still no eyes opened, but we expect to start seeing some little puppy eyes peering back at us any day now.
Mama continues to do a wonderful job caring for her babies and has really transitioned into the roll of motherhood so nicely.
I think it helps that she has her own mama right here with her mothering her own litter. She has one of the best models to show her how it’s all done.
Here they are at 2 weeks, Fox’s Box of chocolates.
