All the pups from our Paw Patrol Litter are finally in the arms of their furever families. We feel so grateful to have met such wonderful families and we look forward to keeping in touch as your babies grow! From left to right we have Skye, now Canela. Liberty, now Nala. Marshall with his whole crew, now Cooper. Rocky, now Leo. Chase, still Chase. Zuma, now George Herbert. Everest, now Sadie. And Sweetie, now Salem.
This week was a great week for the pups, we have made great strides in our Kennel and potty training!
Right now we have them 2 to a kennel during nap time nobody is anxious in the kennel and we have had very few accidents.
This final week we will be transitioning to individual kennels this is an important step for them, as in just 1 week they will be leaving their litter mates and going to their furever homes. The time they spend in their individual kennels alone helps them learn to cope with being alone, something that some pups have absolutely no problem with and others have a harder time with. We’re really happy with the potty training progress this bunch has made, and we’re confident that they will leave us with a really great head start towards being fully house trained. This group totally gets the idea that we go outside to potty!
Before we get into our individual assessments and temperament scores, this whole bunch is a great group.
They have all done wonderfully with potty and crate training.
Each one of these pups is smart, they all love to play and they all have their moments where they love the snuggles.
I always recommend that you find a trainer that you love and sign your pup up for classes, every puppy benefits greatly from training classes. It will help not only teach puppy but also you and your family how to encourage great behavior and make for a successful assimilation into your family.
We had a great visit with our trainer today, she noted that the whole bunch is comfortable being held, and is not anxious when hearing loud sounds. Which is just a testament that all our hard work here giving the pups daily massages and the sound desensitization has done it’s job.
We’re really happy with the temperament results everyone scored great. We didn’t see any 1’s or 6’s.
Just a little insight into the scores were not looking at 1 individual number but the average or majority that a puppy scores meaning
A pup that scores mostly 4’s should be easy to train and is probably a bit more laid back.
A pup with mostly 5’s might be a bit more shy and need a little help building confidence in new situations.
A pup with mostly 3’s is a pup with a bit more energy, might be curious will do well with training and learns quickly.
and A pup with mostly 2’s is a leader, very confident usually very bright and thrives in an environment with lots of exercise and training.

From the time they started weaning from Mama Rocky started to become more close to me. He would follow me around and really was a sweet well mannered confident boy. One thing I did notice is that he seemed less confident with visitors as they came by. Our trainer noticed he was a bit more apprehensive at first. She suggested that he will probably be the type of dog that really attaches to his owner and will be super faithful and loyal to them, he probably won’t be as outgoing and social as his brother Chase but he will be a really loyal and dependable boy for his forever family.
Our paw patrol bunch are 6 weeks old!
Today and last Saturday we had the pleasure of meeting some great families. The pups have thoroughly enjoyed our puppy visitation days.
They are starting to become more comfortable in a crate, and have really been doing well with potty training,
we will continue to work on those two things in the next two weeks.
They are just about weaned from mama now and we are starting to see them shift their focus more to us,
and away from mama which is a natural transition.
Early next week the pups will have their vet visit where they will get their first set of shots, a microchip, and a full checkup from our Veterinarian.
We weighed them today and the weights are as follows:
Zuma 7lb 4 oz
Everest 6 lbs 1 oz
Rocky 6lb 6 oz
Sweetie 5lb 7oz
Marshall 5 lb 12 oz
Skye 6lb 3 oz
Chase 6 lbs 7oz
Liberty 6lb 3 oz
As you can see Zuma is charting as the largest and will probably be close to that 50 lb size. Liberty is charting to be the largest girl Marshall the smallest boy, and Sweet little Sweetie is overall the littlest in the litter.
As families on our reservation list will be making their selections next week. Our 7 week pupdate is the big one. Well have more on estimated adult weights, the results from our temperament testing, and a little more about our observations of each pup.
Elsa's paw patrol litter is 5 weeks old!
This week was so much fun (for them and us) lots of firsts.
At the beginning of the week the pups had their first taste of puppy mush, and their first visit outside.
They had a blast tromping around and playing with eachother. Even their big sisters Belle and Foxy had fun running around with them.
Yesterday the crew had their first grooming! Baths, brushes, blowouts, and nails clipped for each of them, and an introduction to the grooming table.
We usually have 1 or 2 that are a little unsure during bath time but not this group, each one of them sat calmly for their bath and nicely on the table for their blow dry and nails. They are having a blast playing and exploring lots of new toys, sounds, and smells.
This coming week we will introduce a crate to their pin (door opened and non threatening).
We will continue to socialize them introduce them to new experiences and lots more play!
The Crew is 4 weeks old and thriving! Each one is doing fantastic. Now is about the time that we start to see those sweet little personalities start to show.
Zuma is one of the biggest and like his brother Marshall, seems to be very chill. Sweetie, the smallest is a spunky and playful girl, and Rocky loves to snuggle. Now that everyone is up and about we’ll really start to see those personalities develop and we will continue to report on that.
We started sound desensitizing last week and will continue that this coming week.
Another exciting thing coming up later in the week, the puppies will be getting ready to have their first visit outside, a very big milestone for them that we’ll be sure to post some photos of.
We are so happy with where this bunch is at, they are the happiest sweetest little group. Now is about the time that those group photos start to get more difficult. Everyone sat so nicely for their individuals, but as you can see, by the time we got around to the group photo they were ready for nap time. :)
Make sure to follow us @Kingslabradoodlesusa as well be posting some first time outdoor photos later this week.
The Paw Patrol Crew are 3 weeks old today and as you can see, everyone’s eyes are opened!
Mama is in and out of the pin frequently to feed and clean everyone up, still lots of sleeping and eating, but now they are finding some time to play! We are noticing that they are having lots more interactions with each other as they begin to see their surroundings and gain their footing.
They completed their ENS early in the week and are enjoying being held, cuddled, and massaged daily.
Later in the week we noticed a few pups have started to hear, now at 3 weeks every pup is hearing and we have begun the next phase of our training, sound desensitization. The goal is to familiarize the pups with different sounds (fireworks, vacuum, other dogs barking, etc) so that they are not bothered or upset when hearing those sounds out in the world. It makes a more relaxed and well adjusted pup. We plan to get a group photo tomorrow but here they are at 3 weeks...
Our Paw Patrol Litter is 2 weeks old today! They’ve continued to gain weight daily, are eating well and becoming more active as they squirm around the pen. They are being held and massaged often as they go through our ENS steps daily. As you can see from the photos, we have a few little eyes peaking up at us now. Sweetie and Skye we’re the first to open their eyes, the rest should follow in the coming days. They still can’t see but it won’t be long. Hearing will come at around three weeks old. Elsa continues to be the most amazing mama, she is so attentive and caring. Here are some adorable pictures of the paw patrol crew. You can really see their sweet little faces in these pictures. They are getting cuter every day!
Elsa's sweet babies are 1 week old today. After much consideration, and a little help from our 5 year old we decided this will be our Paw Patrol Litter! We weigh each pup daily just to make sure everyone is getting enough to eat and rest assured, these babies are great eaters! We have some really pretty white markings on some of the pups. Coat colors and weights change a lot in the first few weeks but as far as the girls go as of now, Sweetie and Everest are the two smaller girls. Their sisters Liberty and Skye are the two bigger girls. Zuma stands out for the boys being the biggest, Rocky, Marshall, and Chase are all very close in size for now. We started ENS with each pup this week, Early Neurological Stimulation will have a lasting affect on these pups. Pups that have been exposed to ENS show improved cardio vascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and a greater resistance to disease. Footpads and noses will continue to darken over the next few weeks, later this week we should start to see some little eyes begin to open! We had a pretty uneventful week, Mama is doing a wonderful job keeping everyone nice and clean and very well fed.
Saturday evening Mama gave birth to 8 beautiful babies! 4 girls and 4 boys. Colors can lighten and darken as they grow, but these pups should be in varying colors of cream, apricot, and gold. We expect them to grow to be 35-50 lbs and have beautiful soft fleece coats. Mama and babies are doing well. More pics and litter theme will be announced at the 1 week update!
